DEFINITION OF MEMORY
MEMORY IS LIKE A FILM THAT CAPTURE ALL THINGS THAT WE THINK.
IT IS WHERE IS MEMORIZE. THE FACULTY BY WHICH THE MIND STORES AND REMEMBERS ANY KIND OF INFORMATION . MEMORY ALSO CAN DEFINE AS A SOMETHING WE REMEMBERED FROM THE PAST .
DEFINITION OF BRAIN
BRAIN IS AN ORGAN OF SOFT NERVOUS TISSUE CONTAINED IN A SKULL OF VERTEBRATES. ITS COORDINATING CENTER OF SENSATION.
BRAIN IS A PLACED WHERE ALL THE MEMORIES WERE BE KEPT.
TYPES OF MEMORY
- SENSORY MEMORY ( SM )
- SHORT TERM MEMORY ( STM )
- LONG TERM MEMORY ( LTM )
OTHER THAN THAT, MISS AINA TAUGHT US HOW TO IMPROVE OUR STRATEGY.
KEEP FORGETTING COULD OCCUR SUCH AS LAST MINUTE STUDYING WHICH IS NOT GOOD, DID NOT HAVE GOOD STRATEGIES AND LACK OF ATTENTION. THE WAY TO IMPROVE OUR MEMORY IS :-
1. MASSED PRACTICE VS SPACED PRACTICE
IT ALLOWS TIME FOR THE INFORMATION TO CONSOLIDATE IN THE LONG TERM MEMORY.
IT ALLOWS TIME FOR THE INFORMATION TO CONSOLIDATE IN THE LONG TERM MEMORY.
2. BREAK READING MATERIAL DOWN FOR SOME PERIOD OF TIME
FOR EXAMPLE, READ 2 CHAPTERS A DAY, NOT ALL CHAPTERS A DAY BEFORE TAKING YOUR EXAMINATIONS.
IN LEARNING , DO NOT COMPARE YOURSELF WITH OTHERS. YOU HAD YOUR OWN WAY TO STUDY. EVERYONE HAS THE DIFFERENT KIND OF BRAIN. ALLAH GRANT US , EVERYONE HAVE A BRAIN. IT IS JUST HOW THEY USE IT.
3. REHEARSAL
A REHEARSAL A REHEARSAL STRATEGY USES REPEATED PRACTICE OF INFORMATION TO LEARN IT. WHEN A STUDENT IS PRESENTED WITH SPECIFIC INFORMATION TO BE LEARNED, SUCH AS A LIST, OFTEN HE WILL ATTEMPT TO MEMORIZE THE INFORMATION BY REPEATING IT OVER AND OVER.
